Tribute to Tony Bennett

Last year Mr. Tony Bennett broke the Guinness book of records for the oldest person to ever release an album of new material and it received a Grammy Nomination. He was a true gentleman, one of the Greatest Artists, and with humility only wanted to be remembered as a nice person.

My best memory of Tony

I was at the Grammys Musicares event honoring Luciano Pavarotti (this event raises money for the foundation and had an Art Auction that evening). One of my new Abstract pieces was next to one of the Tony Bennett pieces. Luciano was standing next to Tony observing the art and said, “I don't understand this Abstract Music piece.” Tony looked at me and then said to Luciano, “Hey the painter is Italian.” Then Luciano said to me, “Oh, that makes all the difference, it's Fabulous.”

We all started laughing - Tony was so gracious and encouraged me to continue my Art path.
